When talking about endangered species, the focus is usually on rare animals. But the number of plant species is also falling dramatically – in Germany alone, a third of wild plants are considered to be endangered. And the reasons for this often have to do with humans: habitats are being destroyed for agriculture or residential areas, wild herbs and other rare plants no longer have a place in modern agriculture.
